fore the xt you can use the active diff of the XB 8 EC and change the pion.

Are you meaning use an EC active diff and change the bevel gear to suit the XT8?

As far as I know the difference between the XT8 active diff and the 808 active diff is the outdrives, however Andy said he just shimmed it a little, but I didn't understand if he shimmed for the different outdrives or for the difference between the active diff bevel gear and the standard one.

Andy please chime in bud with your thoughts.

Currently the XT8/808 active diff bevel gear is the backorder problem, everything else is available.

Craige said the differences in the bevel gear is that one or the other has longer gears which is probably why Andy talked about shimming.

What I presume is that due to the active wedges the active diff case is longer and to offset the longer diff case a smaller length bevel gear is used...

If I am wrong and its the other way around we could buy all the active diff parts and use the stock bevel gear by shimming it.

Rocco, is the active diff bevel gear critical or can we mod a stock gear?

It looks like the Fioroni Tractive diff version 4 for the 808 has just been released. $225 US. It's dear but its available.....

Come on Xray give us the active diffs before we have to go elsewhere!
