XRAY - Model racing cars

I use a 4900 LiPo with a Nosram 10.5 and when the grip is high, it usually takes 2,500 mah to top it up again.

Getting 2 runs out of some 4600s would be cutting it very fine.

Why would you use it for two runs without charging in between? LiPo doesn't care about cooling down after use etc. Anyway that LiPo with those amps should not get very warm either I think. Just charge it after use for whatever time you've got and no worries.

LiPo also drops its voltage when it gets empty so the more energy you have in it the more voltage you get from it.

Is LiPo allowed in your Modified class? Club races or official races?

I got told by my club members that you should not charge a lipo battery if its warm after a race !.
is that true

I've flown my heli with one 2100mAh 3S LiPo for 50+ flights and never waited until it cooled down. It gets about 30-35C after flight and I've always charged it and then flew again, no waiting.

I think its some legacy information from NiMH time...
