Please dont read this thread as I am unhappy with the 808. In general I have found it to be an extreemely durable buggy and it performs better than anything else I have ever had on the track as well. If this wheel bearing issue turns out to be my biggest problem I will consider this the best buggy I ever owned. Every car I have ever had has had one issue or another. Some of them are small issues, and some were not so small. With any new vehicle there are things that no matter how much testing you do, in the hands of the general public things will show up. This seems to be a minor one to me. The only reason I am bringing it up is I wanted to find out if I was the only one who noticed the fact that it seems to take some extra maintenance in this area vs what I am used to. It seems that some are seeing the same thing as me and others are not.
One of the great things about xray is this forum and tha ability to talk to the other owners, the team drivers, and Xray staff all the way up to Mario himself. I just wanted to give some feedback to my observation and see if there was possibly something I was missing or could be doing to help improve the wear I am seeing.
While I'm sure there is some sort of performance gain by going with the smaller bearings, for myself (a lowly middle of the pack club racer) I would personally prefer being able to use a bit bigger bearing to try and extend the replacement time/reduce maintenance. Just my feedback. Take it as you will.
