after a brilliant weekends racing john hazlewood takes the honours by taking the national A final win at clanfield this weekend, john managed to drive down a very fast elliot boots and pass him, extending his lead as the race went on,john settled into a very quick and smooth rythym and took the 808's first national A final win.
kevin brunsden also managed the A final but an engine cut at the start dropped any chances of a higher finish altho battliing hard at the end.
team manager brennan ralls was unlucky to not bump-up to the A final after being in a comfortable bump up spot,he caught a rut with 2 corners to go and the car did a slow endo and had to be marshalled, this cost him a well deserved A final place but theres always the next one brennan
bruce thompson was rather unlucky in having 2 engines die on the day and having to settle for the B final after having made the switch to team xray only this weekend, and with only a couple of runs with the car he showed a good pace and more is to come surely.
lee taylor also had a good showing by qualifying 10th straight into the final but ended up 14th having got a stone jammed in the clutch/flywheel..all too easy on a track as stony as this.
team left to right;lee taylor, brennan ralls, john hazlewood, kevin brunsden and bruce thompson.
