THis is my first year of real club racing with my XB8. THe trach I am running on has a huge straightaway and three big doubles. Not very technical at all. My Vspec has plenty of power, but I just can't seem to keep up in the areas where the turns are a little tighter (only a few spots). The surface of the track is very hard packed, but dusty (but they do water it down between heats. I have been running m3 Crimefighters, but the car often feels "Squirrely", as if I am getting no bite really. What are some other tire options that I could look at? I think the Amain guys are running Holeshot type tires. Also, I have my diffs at 5-7-3. IS there another formula that may help me gain some traction in the tighter areas? I'm finishing like 4/5 in the b main consistantly (again, first time racing legit), but I hate that these damn Losi's are getting me. I'm just looking for some help and options. Get some softer springs, set up for max body roll and put bigger pistons in the shocks if the grip is really low. Even a slippier clutch should help.
Maybe lay the shocks down too, but make sure you hit those downramps though. :lol:

Try to lower the center diff to 5K, You might able to go through the tight section faster.

Try M2 crime fighters you will find the M3 are to soft thats why it feels squirraly if its a warm day as specially! Is it the 808 your running?

On that TQ car get your hands on some of the Mugen 1.4 pistons, they fill up the body better and make those shocks actually work. The springs he runs are the same ones that I came to run EVERYWHERE, which over here in the states are the Jammin' reds.

I finally wound up with this setup on my EC (which should work very well for the TQ as well) and it seemed to work everywhere with minor changes.



The best thing you can do for this car are the Mugen 1.4 shock pistons, aluminum steering blocks and dremel them for more throw and the Jammin' Red Springs.

Those pistons and springs will fit on my XB8 shocks? Or do I need the Big Bore?
