Well done Chris Russel in the truggy final. Can you please post your setup. Brenden Mock told me it was difficult to find a set up on an ultra grippy surface.

The new MORRCC track will be a similar surface and is something I've never driven on before.

I would have love to race on the weekend but I'm in charge of MORRCC development and track rebuilding and couldn't take the time off.

Looking forward to meeting you guys at the Vic Titles.

PS. What happened to Ian Haley? He must have had car troubles in the truggy main.

It was a great meet. I had a fairly decent setup going on the XT8 with a little help from Ian. Unfortunately his radio was glitching apparently due to a pain in the arse servo. I was standing next to him in the main and he just couldn't drive it the way it was and after losing time he eventually retired. He drove like a champ all weekend, and as I said it was unfortunate to see him leave from the stand but those things happen at the best of times and theres not much we can do to prevent it. Chris Russell had an awesome drive in the main, congratulations dude ya did well. Chatz also drove extremely well and I was happy with a 6th These cars stay together like anything and it's a pleasure to be driving one.

I will post my set up as soon as i have a good look at it made a lot off changes on the saterday night and man it made a big difference A shame my receiver pack died with 9 minutes to go dropped from 5th to 8th its lipo time i think But as for the 808 man what a car....

Oh so thats what happened... I saw you were only on 58 laps at the end and was like that can't be right! What a pain, but oh well that's racing for ya

I'll Post this message here as this is where the trouble began.

I was sold my car here in Australia not long before the ACT titles, and even getting the car was a hard task for most of us. if it wasn't for the time from Chris Russel (Hunter Valley RC) put in to get me one I might not have even raced.
After that, there was no support in Australia for service parts or even the suspension springs to help pro racers with basic setups, no toe blocks, no kickup blocks, nothing. Word has it that the local importer here didn't even order any spare parts with the car kits, they also made the dealers pay for the cars up front with no account time made available. To me that spells big trouble. The shops that did buy the cars unloaded them all at cost price or less just to get things moving.
Then.......At the race while servicing my car, I had noticed that the pinion bearings were coming apart and the bearing races were splitting, not a good thing. So off i went to see Chris Russel only to find out they had no spares as he had not even recieved them from the local importer. Craig had a big bearing failure that day too and used what bearings he had spare. Lukily Craig split open his spare car new in the box and gave me some bearings. THANKS AGAIN CRAIG...and Chris

So at the end of the day I had no spares and no tuning options no springs, nothing, they were ordered by Chris Russel (hunter Valley Rc) but once again in typical Custom model Cars tradition Chris' parts order from CMC never arrived. I am still waiting for bearings and small parts to prep my car to race again. They should have been available when I purchased the kit...They weren't.

I love the car, and had a good race, but that wont get my parts here any quicker.

No wonder the aussie drivers buy from overseas, our local importer SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!! Pull your finger out CMC or give the job to someone who will do it properly.

i know were your coming from.

i orded like 20 clutch bearing from avid they are so much better then the xray ones. i had them at the titles too. and parts i got a few parts from amain and also ED at stryke RC got a few suspention arms wen he got the kits. but he couldnt get any springs and stuff like that as iam aware all that stuff will be here early next week. alu shok tower, engine mount, springs and roll bars. if you broke a arm i have some spare if you wont me to send you one.

oh and by the way your car looked awsome on the track aswell.

I have, in detail, provided our fellow Australian XRay concerns in a 3 page PM to Mario with a minimal response focusing only items that can be addressed. Many of my other concerns did not even get a response.

Mario, my issues are not isolated and everyone in Australia is experiencing the same.

I will not go into detail other than I've been promised by Mario it will get better over time. Please also note that some parts have not been available from the factory but having no parts with the first batch of 808's is ludicrous.

To me these issues need to be rectified immediately even they require drastic measures.

I wanted to keep this argument out of the forum but all of us in Australia understand why Ron Maya chose to leave XRay even though he loved the product so dearly.

If these comments get moderated then I know these issues are just being swept under the carpet and not taken seriously - I and many others through the feeling of abandonment will racing another brand next season.

BGMock, I have stocked up on many parts from A-main as well so if you need anything PM me and I'll send them to you for the price they cost me.

PS CMC selling Serpent via different location is still a conflict of interest and the money spent could be supporting Xray properly.
