XRAY - Model racing cars

Just wanted to mention that the screws that are being used to hold the hinge pin holder brackets for the lower arm are bent straight from the factory. My buddy is building two cars, and has the same issue. That means all three kits have bent screws. These are the only threaded screws on the car and they are bent. Please give us the original heavy duty screws as the original kit. I think Xray went too light on this part.

I thought I must have bent them screwing them in....

Because the toe plates have lugs as locator's and the screws are for tensile strength only, it should not be too much of an issues. They would need to upgraded if their was any shear force on them.

X Ray make a running change and design a screw with a 2.5 mm hex and a course thread would be better.

You though I would have learnt the first time.

It was like squeaze, splat, woops, its full!

Cut the top of the little nipple thing off, it comes out easier! [you can see where it goes from really wide to narrow, cut it off right there...]

Come on guys, this is a hobby, there are around things that are made of plastic, which can usually be modified be something sharp and steel...

I am talking about the screws that hold the rear suspension holder on the one of only four coarse thread screws. They are not good material. Maybe light but not good. Everyone I have talked to says these screws are bent right from the factory. Please communicate this to someone for me. I just dont want someone that doesnt know Xray quality to get the wrong impression.

I call them the wood screws. Same type of thread you would use to screw particle floor boards to floor joists.
