Hi guys, I was just wondering what kind of setup would you recommend for a high traction clay, medium bumpy, tight technical track? Just like the diff and shock setup, I can manage the toe and suspension tweaking. Thanks.

Was just wondering how some of you guys can run such low weight oil in your center diff? I started out with the instruction manual stock weights of 7000 front 10000 middle 7000 rear, and the center diff. just cooked all the oil right out in about 3 race days worth of running. Front tires just peeled out too much. Do you recommend using 3 or 5k in the rear? Currently I switched the center to 30,000 weight and it seems to be doing better. Would 7-30-3 be too crazy?

By the way it probably helps if I mention I'm running a werks .28 motor with a midrange pipe, and the stock shocks/weights. I'll get a setup sheet filled out before long so you guys can point out what I'm doing wrong. :).

PS. I'm running on a super tight, hard clay, high traction indoor track that is watered every night before anyone runs on it. I don't know how many of this type of track there are but I like it. Here's what I'm talking about hard clay high traction fyi. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BoKUbwVgQ8o

Thanks guys.

Update to the thread. Currently I'm running 7-30-3 front to rear and it works pretty good. Possibly using 20-25 in the center could work pretty good I would guess. I'll be switching it around soon since we are moving outdoors to a lower traction track.

One more thing. My XT8 seems to nose dive all the time on jumps. I've tried adjusting ride height between front/rear, raising front, and putting the wing at a steeper angle but it didn't seem to have much effect. Do you think it could be caused by 1. having soft springs all around.(only have one set for the big bores I have on it, will get another set soon to try it out). Or 2. I think my clutch shoes are worn down affecting things. Thanks.

Try this setup...

xform/index.php?act=view&ID=257&setup=xt8

It does very well for me on supercross style tracks. It will tear up the infield and will turn under anything out there...if the track is tight and you drive off power a lot, this setup will be great....if there are a lot of really high speed sweepers and you are pinned the whole way, you will need to tweak it a bit...
