Do you guys recommend filing a flat spot on the DVD pins like we did with the XT8?

Which loctite is recommended Red or blue? I used the recommended red on the XT8.

When protecting the graphite towers etc should we try and cover the screw holes as well? I'm a little concerned about the graphite taking on moisture during cleaning.

Has anyone fitted ace servos to their 808? Do we have to mod the ace horns as per the EC and XT8?

I just want to build this one right from the beginning as no spare parts or upgrades are available yet in Oz I've been told. Just the cars arrived!

Is one piece engine mount on the cards?

Just so you guys know, the "CVDs" used in RCs are not CVDs at all. They are a variation of the U-Joint. Actually the only true CVD is a Thompson Coupler as seen and explained here:

It really bugs me that the joints we use in RC are called CVDs in the first place.

interesting video.......I'd like to see one of those scaled down and tested to see how much benefit there would be versus the U-joint and "CVD" type knuckles that we use now. Makes me wonder how much smoother the drivetrain would be, etc.
