The constant voltage and enough of power onboard are the only big advantages of LiPo. You can also save ten or twenty grams along the way, which is nice :)

I got the "dimming transponder led" also and I threw away the on-off switch and the dimming went away. You can get 2-3 Amps with high power servos and the switch can't handle it and you get big voltage drop.

2-3 Amps don't bring down the NiMH voltage! The problem must be in wiring or the switch or plugs.

And one thought more. You gain much power and speed running constant 6.2V or 6.5V than getting a bit more powerful and faster servo running on NiMH!
