hi all,

I have noticed that when the 008 outdrives are worn severely, the front suspension doesnt work properly, because the cvd doesn't move freely inside the outdrive.

(sorry for the bad english, cant explain better)

My question is: how does this affect affect the chassis behaviour?

I'm asking this because i had the same problem in two different tracks: the car is excellent entring the corner but just when i hit the apex the rear will break loose sudenly. if i try to correct this i end up with with lack of front end grip. I cant seem to find a balance.

I suspect this will be solved with need new outdrives, but im curious about your findings.

Does anyone know if the square ended pins in the update pack are in the distribution channel as spare parts yet? One of mine snapped (MY FAULT).

If yes, and I am being lazy here, did Xray assign them a new part number? IE if that is no, an internet order could result in getting old stock of the round ended pins.

Also does anyone know when the additional springs are going to hit the distribution channel

The distribution channel refers to the UK.

Yellowshark,

Mirage have all the springs in stock, apart from the 3.2's. Most good model shops should have them instock or could order them in for you.

I'm not sure about the updated pins, can anyone else shed some light on this one....?

I was having a look at the chassis picture from the thiland report. I noticed that the front diff was different. Is that the new 008 multi diff?
Aslo, why are the screws blue?

so need some advice on roll centre, can someone explain to me what happens when you put a 1mm spacer between the upper camber link and the hub. at present i'm running the upper camber links in position 3 on the shock towers

Well my take would be that you will lower the roll centre thus increasing roll thus increasing grip and reducing responsiveness. But it's not a subject I have focussed on so consider that to be an amateur response.
