I use a digital steering servo and have no problems with the wheels moving side to side and everything on my car is a bit worn.

I did have problems with too much threadlock on the CVD grubscrews. When you take the CVD out it should move freely in all directions. If it is tight, suspect either too much threadlock and/or binding in the pin. When you assemble the joint dry it should be free and the body of the joint should easily slide through the end of the drive shaft - if it doesn't a small round file will do the trick. You only need the smallest amount of threadlock on the grubscrew - too much and it will get into other parts of the CV joint and cause problems.

Another thing I'd recommend you do is set your steering endpoints so the servo doesn't strain at the end of the steering limits then turn it down with your dual rates to under 80% - this eliminates the chatter of the CVDs. If you have a gauge, the inside wheel should be at 18 to 20 degrees and the same for both left and right. You should still have plenty of steering and you will find that the inside wheel rolls through the corner instead of being dragged.

thanks for that it was spot on i found it hard to get exactly 0.5 toe out but it is near enough but now the steering % is set at 94% and the balance turned out to equal at 60% left and right and the inner wheel is set at 18 degrees does these figures seem normal!
