XRAY - Model racing cars

Heavy rust in the engine can come loose and mix itself with the fuel and so act like sandpaper inside the engine, a full brown or black glowwire of the plug can indicat this.

Removing the backcover shows this:


Soms spots with slight rust is no problem, only heavy rust which you can wipe off with a finger is damaging.

A brown color on the piston and combustion chamber shows a right combustion:

okay, its definately NOT the glow plug. that works a treat, burnt off the fuel that was around the coil pretty quick, and glows red.

the motor did seem to move/rotate a hell of a lot easier without the glowplug fitted. is that normal? from what i could see through where the glow plug sits it seemed pretty clean inside, but i guess there is only 1 way to find out!

in relation to your first picture, heatsink is at the top, and the piece that has been removed is the bit that goes round and connects to the exhaust, right?

just want to clarify this before i start 'hacking' away and bodging stuff up. not really keen to fork out the pricetag for a new motor if this can be rectified...unless, i can get a more powerful one...
