Nah I really miss all that shock oil tossed out after each time I ran the car, lol.

Man a gallon and they still feel that good?

Gee I wonder if this was a good upgrade?

Some times you mod something or use another companies part to do it and something is not always perfect. This was such a nice and easy thing to do and not only works perfect but fits spot on.

I am so pleased with them and glad 2D put up the first pics to motivate me toward doing this. It all came in good time since right before 2D posted these I got to poke around with a set on the EC at my local track. That guy works in a CNC shop so he copied Wheelers proto parts and mounted these shocks up to a new tower and on those A-arm stand offs. I wasnt quite sure it woudl work with out doing all that but it did.

Well after a month of hard running all over the place I think I will change the shock fluid, I will take pictures of what it looks like. The shocks still feel great and I have a lot of fuel on this XT8 since I first installed them.

The picture is a link to a webpage where I use the DivX to embed the video.

This is from Saturday after a full race program. I encoded in DivX so I could maintain some quality.

Actually the only way I could get video this day was to let someone else drive and take it myself. He had never driven my Xray before.

Next time I will have rcnewb film a qual with me driving.

I changed fluid for the first time, well over a gallon of hard track time....

It is hard to get a good photo with the lighting but I could see the piston...

the fluid looks like it did the day I filled them over a month ago... unreal.. :shock:

You really don't need the short stand offs...theres no binding with the long ones. If you look at the buggy from behind the shocks sit at a 45* angle and thers no binding there. But the short ones do look better though.
