Stupid question time. I have just received my T2008 US Spec and started building it. It can with the two Alu Ball Diff's but they are already assembled. Having only had the T1R and T2R cars previously which both came with composite ball diffs, but I had to assemble them.

Are these Alu Diffs 'Factory assembled' and ready to fit and go, or do I have to pull them down and grease and oil etc?

Any advice is appreciated.

let me clear one thing up, you must tighten the diff a bit. But other than that, they are ready to go.

Be sure to run them in while tightening the diff. You should run a few laps with low speed, them tighten a bit, run a few laps, tighten a bit, run a few laps etc. You can increase the speed a little bit with each tightening.

I'm glad they made the gear ratio change. Makes it much simpler to get gearing for mod. I'm not looking at running stock this year, but am holding on to my 007 incase the numbers are not there to have fun in mod. That said, whilst researching the 008 prior to laying down the cash, I had noticed the gear ratio change and it was a selling point.

I'll be retro fitting the EU '08 pully set to my US '07. It will make it easy to get gearing in Mod.

First of all, i have to agree with te latest posts. The car is trully good and extremelly competitive from the box.

Dont be mistaken by those minor glitches.
