just how much have you spent on your m18?

All to common phrase im afraid. But totally avoidable if you make your purchases smart. I bought my m18 to race and nothing else( i never bash, i just dont find it fun) Our club runs a stock class(5cells stock motors and rubber tires. I have spent very little on this class.

-chassis
-servo
-body mazda 6 picture
-hpi carpet rubber tires(kit tires are useless)
-alloy motor mount(for heat reduction)
-awaiting motor heat sink
-radio gear(3pk and v12)Gear i already had from other cars
-have yet to break any parts but since we run stock the cars dont get abused like they do with mod and big block motors, stock is perfect for this scale of car
-3 xray motors now use hpi motors they take the heat better, heat sink will eliminate further heat issues
-CND FUNDS AS WELL

On my fast M18 I have spent about 400 dollars and on my stock m18, I have spent about 300 dollars. Im happy with it too.

My M18 is cost me a lot of work on the custom made parts but was worth every cent of the 20 euro I spend extra to it

My MRS4 is a small priceless speeding monster with a setup of about 500 euro and already burned 2 motors of 126 euro each.....

just like Geezatec said If you are willing to keep ou with jones you also change the chassie once a season and also all of the bearings (cheramic)
and every moving part of the car. come to think of it I buy a brand new car every season. That´s what it take to place in top 3 of any national championship. I know cause I´m there :-)
