XRAY - Model racing cars

Its hard to see but heres some pics

look at the to where it mounts, the difference in angles.

This has been largely discussed by me in all th past threads and why I feel that its important to use the short stand offs not the long ones that come with it, nitrouhouse agreed as well.

These werent made for our buggy/truggy in mind and the angle that you are pointing to is from the top of the shock sitting too far out compared to the bottom. Short stand offs would bring it back into proper alignment but the 2Dmax says he doesnt think its necessary.

I will be mounting mine up properly or not at all but if you have those shocks then its an easy fix so I wouldnt just let them sit around. I didnt know you had the shocks I thought you were just giving your opinion on them.

Sell those suckers if you dont lik them because I think many others are going to be wanting them real soon.

They'll stay in the tool box for now anyways, like I said I saw them before they were widly released lol.......

problem is that those are the standoffs that come with the kit, so if ya whant the right angle you need to buy the short ones two.

The biggest downfall,

To out fit the truck you spend 180.00 or so, and in my mind its not that big of an advantage.

Whitey, If I was you I would wait for xray to release there set.

I spent some time on my setup today.

Both of these videos were taken in Austin, Texas today and both feature trucks with these shocks. I have the stand offs that come with the shocks on my yellow/white body Xray XT8 and my budy has the short stand offs on his white bodied, white wheeled Caster.

Why change shocks to different brand?
Why do you think XRay made the shock for the EC or Truggy?
Becuase there made for the car and designed to make the car better.
Another thing is why the Jammin/Hongnor ones, when i raced Jammi/Hong Nor with the big bores i found that the car would wonder. You steer right but it would go left then right. Down the striaght always have to correct the car, keep it in line.

That my opinion, you may have a different one.
