From the picture those standoffs look longer than the "K" ones.
Are those the xray or jammin shock ends?

My bad those are better pics of it.

That does look like a big gap on the top of the shock cap to the shock tower. I dont know how you could move it any closer with otu a different stand off but there is room for adjustment. If you look at the stock shocks they are super close to the tower on the buggy.

Dang this almost makes me want to take on the task of fitting them to the buggy but I am worried that it wont work properly and that is alot of money to waste.

Those shocks are deffinately angled inward from top to bottom but I guess since they are attached with ball end links they have free movement and dont bind. I would think it be better if you can get them straight up and down though.

I could shim the stock standoff if I felt any binding. I just used the standoffs that came with the shocks.

Sorry for the dark, poor picture.
The smaller oring goes in a groove on the bottom of the shock and seals the screw on retaining piece. (no g-clips) They were very easy to put together.

I did not attempt to fit the Xray boots, the shocks came with their own boots.

I have no clue if they would work on the buggy!! In fact I need some serious stick time with there before I can safely say they work with my XT8. :D

I plan on doing a lot of and some of and giving them a solid workout. :D

Well I cant find that O-ring on the web sites and I figured when I buy things I buy another set of parts like O-rings, bladders, boots, since they need to be replaced from time to time.

I am going to call Nitrohouse and see what they say about the standoffs because I bet the smaller ones I linked to woulr be nearly perfect or with jst a few shims fall some where between being too short or too long making them perfect.

I called Nitrohouse and they say these shocks will fit fine and the link I posted to the short stand offs are perfect to get us more options for moving the shock closer to the tower as I mentioned. The tech guy said he does the same on his buggy and uses the shorter standoffs to get proper alignment.

As for the smaller O-rings they cant seem to find them and dont know the part number but think they come in the repair kit even though they arent pictured in the package at Amain.

http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_inf ... s_id/16937

Best buggy setup they say is to drill the 1.2mm holes to 1.35mm with the GMK drill kit and use med silver springs with 35f/30r wt oil.

I am going to get these on order when I get back home today since I will need time to hunt down all the parts that I need for fitting them. Seems like a great upgrade to the buggy and since it looks like a long time coming for Xray to release theres I will go ahead with the Jammins. Besides the Jammin shocks are highly spoken of as having great quality and the perfect materials for the pistons ect.
