Ok guys here you go. Some have asked me for lipo battery pics, Ace servo horn mods, how I set my brakes using collars, and I took a shot of the foams I cut for the shocks that we have been learning about.
The servo horn has some dremel work to the underside to make it flat and removed the design that came on it. I then used 2 thin 3mm size shims to raise the horn up on the servo splines. A bit of dremel work to the bottom plastic thing that the brake rod threads into. Lastly 2 shims of some type to raise the top brake rod to make it level and parrallel to the bottom one.
For the Lipo its just as easy as it gets with a thin piece of foam wrapped around the bottom side and up the sides of the battery so it fits snug in the box. The regulator is under where the antenna goes and my Rx is velcroed to the bottom as shown.
For my brakes I use fuel tube on both sides of the brake rods so that when they are not in use the tubes recenter the rods so that the brake cam isnt touching the brake pads and applying pressure. This allows the car to roll super smooth and I can turn 1 wheel and watch all 4 turn along with the brake disks and the CB/spur indicating no drag or binding at all.
The collars are used in place of the ones that came with it because they were big and got in the way. I adjust the outer set of collars and move them inward toward the fuel tube for more brake or pull them outward toward the end of the rod for less brake.
