Good explanation Bren, thats about the same way I look at it. If a track is super blown out then there is only so much you can do so you better start looking for new or the safest lines.

Thanks guys for the detailed outlook. I'm always curious how drivers process decisions. It helps my understand things clearer when its simplified.

I think the bulk of the drivers try too hard to power down the blown area's and keep thier finger's crossed. I did notice a small handfull last year riding the pipes down....Perfect idea.

I'm going to start with a softer setup and try to pace myself until I figure out some lines going slow. After I get a decent round in, I may go a little heavier and see if I can run that line a little faster.

I guess the bottom line is going to be Xtremely conservative no matter what to make a good showing in the Mains.

Any other input would be great, but I think Bren summed it up just like I needed to hear.
