yea the shock washer think sucks, if you do not get the rear droop right bye bye washer.

Why have I never had an issue with these washers?

Are you guys talking about the plastic washers of the washers above and below the piston?

When I mount up my shocks I set the droop first and dont hook up the lower part of the shock into the arm right away. Once I think I have my dropp set I then let the arms drop and then slide the lower part of the shock into the arm and make sure that the eyelet doesnt line up with the holes on the arm and that I have to press the shock shaft up some to get them to align while putting the screw in the arm. This way I am sure the shock is compressed some amount when at full droop.

Not sure if its the best method but it works for me so far.

As for a USA style buggy I dont see what is bad about the EC version that needs to be changed. Mine runs great on my track and its basically all jumps and very technical. Being my first buggy I dont have anything else to compare to so maybe thats the issue but so far it suits me just fine.

Change is always good but even with that new active diff I dont see myself buying it or needing it right now. Some of these new and improved items may be good for some but I want to learn and master what I have before I even think of going and changing the configuration of it, lol.

I have all the setup options I could ask for and from what I read the EC has more then any other like Kyosho or Mugen ect so little by little I have made changes which result in better handling for me.

How much of that do you think is the driver?

if you put him behind the handset of a Losi the centre driveshaft would still break before the finish

Its all driver for sure. The same goes for my $2k 45 pistol that wont out shoot an old timer with a cheap mill spec that cost $400. Even if the car wont perform as he wants those guys are good enough to adjust their driving to accomodate for that.

I am happy with my choice in Xrays car that is for sure but lets not be like the Losi cheer leaders who all run and buy Losi because Adam Drake keeps winning races. I can tell our Xrays are super tuff and hold up very well and drive just as perfect so anything other then that means I have to bring my skills up to match the cars.

By no means have I got to a point where I think a change in the cars layout is going to make me faster so for me I am happy with the current version at my current skill level.
