If you think about it. the T2R i a T2 in a budget. It has a different material chassis, diffs, etc. So, it is a car for beginers that want to compete.
I know Xray don`t like us to say name of competitors, but since xray don`t make any RTR nitro car....
Kyosho makes nice nitro RTR that share most of the suspension system geometry and some materials with the high end products they carry.
This make it possible for the RTR racer to evolve and compete in a more serious (if we call it that) category.
I believe that an stripped down version of the NTI in a RTR package could be a very successful car. For fun and racing.
As I stated before, I wish to buy a nitro car, but the money I have to put to get it is just too much. I don`t have experience with Nitro, so it is scarry to buy a car with high price tag on the chassis and engine without knowing how to do the run in, maintenance, needle adjustments.... I will probably spend tons of time trying to have it running other than competing and having fun (which I believe is what the hobby is all about).
This is the reason I want to have a RTR car.
