Hi, thaks for the reply. The driveshafts aren't worn. In my original post I indicated that the car is brand new. I've only used at two club events so far (maybe 10 runs total)

Can anyone else offer some assistance?

I'm not sure how the electrics could affect it but won't discount it as a possibility (I'll consider anything at this point!)

My servo and speedy wires are coiled together, tied with a cable tie and lodged between my receiver and servo. I'll unravel them and see what happens.

Stay tuned!

Good to see also I'm not the only one who is experiencing the problem (although not so good for those of us who are experiencing it).

I have a spektrum too :D Also, my mains from the battery to the ESC sit well away from the chassis.

Thinking about this some more I don't think it could be the electrics due to the fact that the problem doesn't occur when the wheels are off. It's almost as if there is a fault in the design when the axels have weight/load/centrifugal force placed on them at a certin level. My drivetrain is free and smooth (as the lack of issue with the wheels off would indicate)

Can anyone from Xray provide some clarity? Can you replicate the problem as described?

Thanks

Looking at it on the bench, is the wheel wobble absolutely continuous with the throttle applied, or does it stop and start?

On a pit stand it will start to wobble with the trottle at about 1/4 power and will be continuous. You can gradually increase the throttle to 1/2 power and it will keep wobbling. Above half throttle it starts to vibrate faster until it disapears.

I've raced again today and tried the following, all to no effect:
- Changed wheels again
- Added spacers to move the wheels 1mm out from the knuckle
- Tighened the belt
- Changed the motor
- Adjusted the ackerman setting in both directions
- Changed over the C-hubs
- I also put it on a setup station and made sure everything was perfect

I've had some of the veteran racers look it over as well and it has everyone stumped.

Could it possibly be the axle cups rubbing on the drive shafts under weight of the wheels?

It certainly seems to be affecting my steering now as I'm experiencing massive understeer even after using a previous setup which I knew was spot on for our track.

I'm going to rebuild the entire car from scratch this week and try again. If it continues I'll have to post some videos as a last resort.

I've just oiled the bearing and have a spektrum dx3. Same problem!

When I first got back into RC I had a similar problem.

Turned out the speedo BEC was 5V and couldn't power the servo. When I changed to a speedo with a 6V 3A BEC the problem disappeared.

Might be worthwhile double checking your ESC and servo specs.
