So what is the reason the new directions say not to use the O rings in the diffs at first but later for fine tuning?

What was the problem and what is the purpose of the O rings in these areas?

As the internal gears of the diff move, heat will build up which will cause the o-rings to expand, making the volume and value of the diff oil inconsistent. Therefore causing erratic handling depending on temperature...

I tought they sealed up the diffs but obviously they dont so I dont see what the purpose was.

No, the orings that go in the back of the satellite gears.

DEFINITELY USE THE ORINGS THAT GO IN THE CASE AND GEAR.

I think I've collected enough info since owning my first kit. Plus, I like to pay it forward.
