I'm wondering which exhaust pipe would work well with this engine,

This guy has a JP2 pipe, and we played with it tonight at the race track, trying to get it running better, it sounds like the engine is lacking some ump at the jumps, and it doesn't scream on the top either.

temps I took were 230 give and take a few degrees.

he asked me which other pipe would go well and wake this engine up. I told him I didn't know

So that's why I'm asking you guys....

PS....he running a werks .21 3 port pro

can ya'll help me out here
thanks

If he's running a Werks engine then get the Werks or Sirio 2013 pipe (they're the same). That pipe is a KILLER! It also works great on most other engines. You should see what a 2013 does to an OS RG!!!!!! OMG!!!!

Anyways the 2013 is designed for the Werks engines. And it really does make tons of power and torque. Problem is they're not as tough as the ever popular hard coated JP pipes so make sure it's well protected because it's not cheap!

I seen a brand new 2013 get the heck beat out of it yesterday, big dents and stinger pinch.

They seem somewhat fragile, definitely needs to be sent off for hardcoat.

ok...I told him today and he said that he wanted a tough pipe, not one that is fragile.

How would a JP3 pipe work for it?

Stay away from the JP1,2,3 pipes when running Werks engines. I've run my share of B3s and B7s and I found they'll work OK with JP pipes but they are far from ideal. The JP3 is the best of the bunch but still one of the worst pipes to run with a Werks engine (oh ohhh I'm gonna get me into some trouble with that statement I'm sure LOL :D )

If your bud MUST have a "tough" pipe then Carolina's RC has a hard coated Werks 2013 in stock! Be prepared for sticker shock though as the pipe/header combo is $125!!!

Otherwise I'd go for the new Dynamite pipes. They're hard coated with reinforced stingers. And CHEAP too! Like $49.99 for the hard coated .86! The .86 makes great power on both the B3 and B7.

But that 2013 man... it makes GREAT power! As far as power production is concerned, the 2013 is IT! Works awesome on Werks/Collari, Sirio and OS RG engines. A friend of mine put a 2013 on his OS RG powered SP2 and let me tell ya, that RG became a whole different engine! I drove it (at my buddy's urging!) and would have never believed that it was a Bone stock OS RG if I didn't see it with my own eyes! It transforms the RG from an excellent sport engine to some cheap V-Spec like thing! It's all he's gonna run for now on. He's selling his Werks B7 Pro and V-Spec because of it

In one word.. unbelievable!

The coating protects the pipe better and gives it more of a 'tingy' sound too.
