XRAY - Model racing cars

Quick question, I'm setting up the droop and the front a-arms have a protruding bulge right under the C hub. I have to place the droop gauge perpindicular to the A-Arm after the bulge. Will this get me an accurate reading?

First off, thanks Tony. Anyway if you read this guys set-up you may understand what I mean. In the comment box at the bottom of the set-up sheet he states he measured from the c-hub in the front and the arm in the rear. As I was setting up my droop I noticed that if you try to measure as depicted in the setup sheet (gauge slides right under arm parrellel to the arm) the c hub bottom will interfere. Now if you slide the gauge in perpindicular to the arm then you can get an accurate measurement under the arm. My common sense tells me that is the right way. Just looking for some confirmation.

Aside from that I noticed some of the guys are not using foam or o-rings on their shocks, any reason why?

thanks fellas. yea I have a caliper I'll use that to confirm my measurement with the droop gauge. I do get a lot of rebound, maybe I'll try removing the foam. lots of good info here!
