Good ideas, even with all of the current options available it seems like those center shafts are so heavy that they would be the most important but they're also on the inner most point so they probably have slightly less effect than we would think.

As far as the shafts go, I don't think of it as a case of reducing overall weight(even though it will), it's more a case of reducing the rotating mass. I know of one inferior company that already has a hollow titanium center shaft out for the NT-1.

Straight out of the box and having not driven gas for over 12 months I was only 1/2 a second a lap off first place the first time out with plenty of improvement to go(both car set-up, motor tune and my driving,LOL).
We have a big inter-club meet coming up in a month at our home track(www.scrccc.com) and I am looking forward to improving on that 1/2 a second for sure!

How about the same Nylon Suspension Ball Ends with aluminum or titanium collars to allow you to screw in the end screws easier. Kind of like how the XB8 & XT8 have metal components within the nylon suspension hubs.

This would make the ball ends stronger, eliminate re-build wear, and alow the flexibility in collisions instead of bending.

If you're not SUPER extra careful screwing the end caps in at 90 degrees with the all nylon current versions, they will gradually begin to twistand warp the threads easily.

They still work...but it's a little dissapointing when it happens.
Those aluminum end screws just don't find the nylon grooves well...
