I ordered mine from Amain. I have use three different classes of engines with it so far and they have all worked. There is one thing with it I would mention.

See how the engine mount screws end up being above the surface level of the top of the mount...

See the marks on the pieces that bolt to the engine have marks where these screws hit...

My engine would not stay in place till I touched it with a dremel...

2D: It sounds like you just needed shorter engine mount screws; is that correct? Also, do you recommend the use/purchase of this part or do the stock engine mounts work to yuur satisfaction? I guess my real question is; is the one piece engine mount worth the effort and cost and what are the practical benefits of this one piece engine mount?

I had the same problem, but I trimmed the screws and didnt grind on the mount.

I lost a few sets of good ceramic clutch bell brgs and couldn't figure it out. once I spotted the screws marking the block it all made sense. Havent lost a set of brgs since.

The optional engine mount is awsome, makes engine swaps/clutch work easy, not to mention adding rigidity to the chassis in that spot.

I was going crazy trying to figure out why my drive train was binding once my engine warmed up, I thought the brakes were dragging at one point. :D

A set of engine mount screws one size shorter would be ideal, maybe they should include them with the mount...

I love the mount because you can remove your mill and check your clutch without effecting your mesh. It also stiffens the chassis in the area where the clutchbell and spur mesh which is always a good thing.

on the pic of the mount that comes with the mount, it shows countersunk set screws and taper washers.
but yes the bolts that come in the kit are too long. just shorten them a bit.
just fitting a couple now to my tq and xt8

Not sure why the need to shorten these bolts, just shim them with a washer or two. I use small spring washers anyway just to help stop the screws working loose. just an idea to consider rather than grinding the bolts down with a dremel if they're fractionally too short?

Now the question is; where's the best place to purchase the engine mount?
