XRAY - Model racing cars

Has anyone here tried both the stock rims and 1/2 offset rims or 0 offset rims with wheel extenders?

Is there any noticeable difference in performance? Good or bad? Which option is best?

I really need to mount up more tires. But try finding XT8 wheels.

It looks like Yannick runs 0 offset.

I have been running the stock ones but last week fitted some 6.7mm extanders and today gave my GRP Grips with 0 offsets a try and to be honest I cant really say I noticed a big difference apart from I found that the grip was alot better on the Track that I run on and also hardly any ballooning compaired to the stock ones....

Running the Dace Mugen 6mm offset adapter and proline standard offset wheels. (Proline part number 2690-04)

6mm offset mugen adapters are a direct fit, no drilling or grinding required. drive pin is the same size, Hub outside bearing to adapter spacing is the same. (the gap in between the bearing and drive hub)


With these adapters it will make you 1mm wider overall than the stock setup.


I am very curious as to what hubs yannick was running at that race. anyone at Xray or ?? have anything to say or is it still a hush-hush part that is coming out later.

We are running the Xray wheels. They are made for the truck. The truck was designed for them.

Pro-Line wheels cost about $13.00 for a pair of them.

They were on backorder until early last week, so any dealer that had them on backorder they are on the way to them now.
