Hello to the XB8 community !
I got the fabulous EC car few weeks ago. I'm starting now to enter setup things and this is what I would need a bit of help for:
The car enters corners like hell, turns really ok. However in a large sandy and fast curve, if I start to push a bit on the gas, the rear will have tendancy to forget it is the rear and try to pass before the front. I also wonder if I have the right oil/spring combination since the car is not that stable at high speed (especially the rear).
My setups are:
TRACK: CATTIA, sandy with middle-low traction and quite some bumps when the weather turns dry.
DIFFS: 5k/5k/5k
--------
REAR:
-------
shocks : 500cps pistons 2x1.5; springs light blue or white, spacers 4mm
geometry : antisquat minimum, camber about 6deg, toe 2.5, up links outside hole on the side of the shock mounting plate (2nd hole from the top) and outside hole on the upright. Low arms on upper hole on the upright.
anti roll bar: 3 mm
FRONT:
---------
front caster bushing +2 degs
caster spacers to maximum caster
kick-up to minimum
Ackerman: rear hole
toe out 1deg
camber 3 degrees
roll center/ low arm axle to lower position on the diff side.
roll center / up arm axle to middle position on the diff side.
up arm on inner hole on the side of the upright.
shocks: 450cps pistons 2x1.4, spacers 6mm
springs: light blue or white
roll bar: stock.
Thanks for your helps guys !!!
