XRAY - Model racing cars

Ordered the number, but got some Serpent replacements, They don't work Either. This Leaking problem is really creaping up my..... Lost one engine allready due to sand in the fuel. ( The airfilter didn't come off, 3 diffrent tanks, new O rings, Nothing helps, ) All i want is a tank that stay's closed is that to much to ask? If there is anyone that has a good tank that doesn't leak tell me i want to buy one and pay good money for it

The Xray tank is equipped with internal filter and the car kit comes with a filter aswell. I Dunno how do you get sand from your tank to your engine. Maybe your airfilter is/was bad or something else.

Usually if the tank leaks the engine goes bizarre, but you get sand into your engine, how is this possible from a leaking tank? How can the sand leak in and the fuel not out? Really feeling like your problem isn't with the tank.

I agree. You have some other problem if sand is getting in your engine. Your air filter maintenance routine is probably the culprit. Are you washing and reusing inner filters? Are you using WD40 as filter oil? What filter oil and filter are you using? I would also check for a torn filter boot, torn carb boot, or air leak from the engine.

Even if prop your tank wide open and run a tank of fuel, sand probably wouldn't get past the internal stone tank filter and the inline fuel filter.

sand in the tank?? did the stone filter in the tank happen to come apart??

It will kinda look like sand when it does, or little bronze colored BB's.

I've been running with the same tank for more than two full racing seasons and had no problem!!

Some people put a tie-wrap to the tank in order to open it easier and around the tie-wrap they put fuel tube.This shouldn't be done,in my opinion, because when the car flips the tie-wrap may be caught in the ground and open the tank.The fuel will be lost and sand or stones or anything may get in.
