XRAY - Model racing cars

I agree. I'm gonna pick some up. I've never ran the car with stock hubs. I've always set up the car with +1mm so the change wont feel as significant to me. The EC has so much steering anyway

I had my second race on Sunday with the xb8tq. I managed to position first in the B Main. I am quite happy with the result considering I am a newbie and I still had major problem with oversteering and nervous rear end.
In the qualifying I used 353 diff oils with the 38T overdrive.
This is the setups I used.

In the B Main I change the diff oils to 333.
The car handled the jumps great but at half of the track, where there was more loose dirt, the car was coming around when I accelerated from middle to out of the corners. The rear was also agressive, twitchy.
I tried different things, shorter rear camber link, 2 and 4 degrees antisquat, higher and lower rear roll center, softer rear shock springs.
I noticed that when I switched from 353 to 333 the car drove very well without and oversteering for 5-6 laps, but after that it was loose. It feld like something changed on the car.
The air temp was 42 degrees. We got fried under the sun!!
Other diff oil combinations I used during practice days are: 444, 555, 755, 553, but whatever I do I have the same problem at that part of the track.

What changes do I have to make? Diff oil, shock oils etc…….?

sllo... i had a look at your 2 set up sheets. Why dont you try more camber on the car a see how that goes. When i run my TQ before i got the EC i used to run 4deg on the front and 7deg on the rear andinstead of the 0 blocks in the rear toe plate put the 1deg facing out wards i would like to know how that would go for you The other thing i done was ground out the diff housing and dropped the roll center down s far as it would go hope this helps

if you use the ec frontarms use also the new steeringrods or the wheels will rub the rods in a tight turn...and cause strange beaviour

on a dusty track like that it is very difficult to find a setup
that is good

I use 3500/3500/7000 now on all tracks
the 3500 fr/mid stabilise the buggy , the 7000 in the rear locks it in

with tq you should set for a 1-2-3- oil set-up
