Ok, I just compared your setup to the one that Mike used to win the IIC last year and I suggest you do the same. Most of the differences between your two setups (not all) would result in Mike having more steering and in fact more overall grip than you have.

As far as the understeering goes, one thing in particular in your setup could account for most of your problem, the tight rear diff. Try running it medium like Mike did. This should result in more steering through and coming out of the corner. Also the harder front springs that Mike uses may well give him more steering into the corner than you have at the moment.

Apex is exactly right.

More shims at the hinge pin mounts and less at the hub will bring more stability and quickness to the front end in left/right transitions, but may also cause it to push if the rest of the setup can't compensate for the steering.

Less shims at the hinge pin mounts and wider hex hubs will give more steering, but may make the front end roll too much and cause either oversteer or a sluggish feel in left/right transitions.

I personally use much wider shims at the hinge pin mounts and use the -0.75 hex hubs in the front and the standard hex hubs in the rear. I also use softer than standard front springs though.

Should your track width be the same front and rear, or should the front be wider than the rear? or is it just a matter of preference?

Does anyone have a good setup for SIR in Seattle, for Stock, I am currently running the Basic Rubber Tire setup. The car feels loose off power, not too bad, but enough for me to do something about it. I run the wing on my car only 5mm off the back, I am running Sorex 36 premounts, I use Paragon FXII that I bake in with the MMR IC tire warmers for 15 min (90F for 5min, 100F for 5 min, 115F for 5min) also the tires seem to overheat at the end of a run

I have a Mazda 6 body, right now I have those fins on the inner part of the wing installed, I will try moving the wing back a little. It will be a while before I can run my car again though, my brand new VFS-1 comp 2 took a dump, so I had it sent in for repairs.
