Play in Rear Lower Arms

I am building my XB8TQ (first buggy build). I am assembling the rear suspension. I noticed that the lower arms have considerable play (1-2mm) front to back on the hinge pin even with the 2mm shim inserted. Is this normal?

Did you fully tighten the arm mounts? You need to use the thickest spacer of the three different sizes (which may be 2mm, I've never checked before).

I used 3mm of shims and it was a perfect fit. I think this has come up before and the correct amount of shims is actually 3mm rather than 2mm.

When i assembled mine,
i used the thick shim and never had a problem....

Sand down a 3mm or put a 2mm in there with a sanded down 1mm. No matter what, sand down one of the clips to get them to fit.

I just used a small metal washer
between arm and other clips
