Well I thought this as good as any thread to let you kind people out there know about the NEW !!!!!! FRONT CHASSIS BRACES available from RMV and King Headz.

They are differnant than the standard blue they use and what I posted earlier!

K.H went with the factory look of at least the front brace---thats the only part they have a picture of for now--Looks trick

Stock front brace works fine for me

as well as the towers and carbon.

im w/ you mine works great and it NEEDS to flex a little if it didnt it would break something a lot more serious. and put stress where it shouldnt. i think xray put the brace that is there for a REASON. they are way more qualified to build these than we are. and ATTENTION fellas its already hopped up you dont need to do anything to it. :lol:

i know what you mean David, i've competed in all kinds of motorsports over the years & there is a lot of thinking along the lines of keeping the chassis as rigid as possible & letting the suspension work the way it should! it just seems that with these 1/8 buggys there needs to be a little torsional flex in the chassis, it seems to smooth out the suspension action a little on the track & gives a little more steering compared to a rigid set up :wink:

look at the Kyoshos, they come with ball ended braces that everybody moans about but they are there purely to give some torsional flex! Yuichi designed the car with that in mind :wink:

back when i was running a Crono i was told that the chassis braces are even removed on fast flattish tracks to aid with high speed stability :!:

i think some degree of torsional flex is beneficial but it is reassuring to think that you have both ends of the chassis locked down with CNC braces :wink:

any body tried the one piece mount off the MBX5 yet? this looks like it will fit & should add a bit of extra stiffness right there in the middle of the chassis, could go some way towards protecting the spur & clutch bell :?:

now thats freaking pimp! wow what the heck will this guy come up w/ next? you really cant do much to this bug but he has the talent to make something thats already great to even better! now thats talent. i might have to get the front brace and the new plate. dang that would look tight as heck!!!
