XRAY - Model racing cars

Ive recently got a set of short arms for my T1R and find the the rear droop screws over hang the edge of the chasis. Im still using the composite tub that my car came with and are wondering whether ive gotten the wrong arms or whether ive attached the arms wrong to the bulk heads. The front arms are fine and i can adjust the droop no problem but the rear screws are only biting into the very very very edge of the tub and are not holding.

I just laid the Graphite plate over the composit plate and the width is identical. So you have something put together wrong.

Look at the following pictures to see how the rear arms should be mounted: , .

As the second picture shows the arms are mounted on the outside of the bulkheads as littleal mentioned. On the 10th scale XRay touring cars the short arms should allways be mounted on the outside!

Note that the rear arms are so that the downstop hole that is right next to the pivot pin is at the front while the alternative hole that is further from the pin is at the rear and unused (this latter hole is used for the XRay T1M!). The front downstop hole is the one that is used to set the downstop and while close to the edge of the chassis it will not bind and is sufficiently supported. If you feel uncomfortable with it you can try the XRC chassis as this is wider at the rear.

At the front note that the innermost of the two downstop holes is used (the outer hole is once again for use on the T1M).

If this is still not clear I suggest you download the Factory Kit manual from the downloads section on as this will show how to mount the short arms more clearly.
