Hello guys,
I am thinking on buying the Nomadio react radio system and the temp sensor.
However, I read on some sites that various races have problems with this radio system, i.e display screen problem, transceiver problems etc.
What is your experience using it? Does it worth upgrading from spektrum DX2 ?
Is the temp sensor accurate enough to rely on?

I am also running a React and let me start by saying I'm very happy with it. I upgraded from an Airtronics MX-3s mainly to get 2.4GHz techonology since I didn't like neither the DX3 nor having to buy a $300+ top-line transmitter and a separate spektrum module and receiver. Compared to other options, the React gets much lighter both on your wallet and on your hands.

What's more, on top of the 2.4GHz technology, you also get all the setting and tuning options you can imagine in a radio. Have a look at the manual found at http://support.nomadio.net/react/ to get a better info.

It's true that the first software that came with the React had quite a few bugs, but those have been progressively removed with the release of newer versions, that you can easily download from React support web page. Talking of which, there's also a nice user forum there as well as a fantastic customer support.

As for the temp sensor, I haven't got one yet so I'm of no help here. However, keep in mind the React temp sensor does NOT measure the glow plug temperature, so it quite likely you're going to get a different reading. But eventually I'll soon figure out what that offset is and can adjust the reading accordingly.

To conclude, I'd definitely advise you to get one yourself. Then we can really realize what you've been missing.

I have had my Nomadio Sensor since November of 2005, and I got to tell you I will never switch brands again. The system works perfect, and service is even better. Not having to worry about temperatures or battery voltages while driving your car around a track is very comforting. With Nomadio vibration and sound alerts (Sensor only) you never need to look at your screen and lose sight of your car. here is a demo of the sensor radio

I run the Nomadio Sensor too and I definitely can't see myself running regular radios again.

i had the sensor last summer and liked it alot... got the bug to try something different so i got a z1 non spektrum...

the z1 is a very nice radio but i missed the telemetry, mainly the batt pack voltage... i had it go low one time( with the nomadio ) and it was vibrating and it saved me.

cant do that with others.

i now have the react and i cant see switching to anything else. it is nice to manage your radio on the PC and do updates, customize settings and assigning buttons. and also its fun to control racing games too..

I had an Airtronics MX3S and it never did work properly! That is why I ended up getting my Spektrum DX3 about a year ago. I sent and email to one of Nomadio representative on RCU and never did get a reply. But as we know on the net anything can happen and the email many have never reached him. I do now after a year and 20 plus gallons of fuel I have NEVER had a problem with my Spektrum DX3!
