Somebody earlier mentioned something about getting their money's worth. It is not like you aren't getting your money's worth. Most truggies cost more than buggies but XRAY is offering the new truggy at the same retail price as the new buggy. It would be a different thing if it cost more than the buggy but did not include those aluminum pieces. So you are definitely getting your money's worth.

XRAY could have added an extra $50 or so for the cost of their truggy compared to their buggy like all the other manufacturers do but they decided not to. The plastic pieces help allow them to keep from adding the extra $50 or so to the cost of their truggy like you would normally pay. I am sure if you really want the aluminum pieces you can get them for that much or less and then you would also have the tires and wheels.

Well I can accept that but still it Would be nice to hear from them...

There is som Weird stuff like not using a 150 cc tank, strange offsets on the wheels and so on...whats up with that? In the end it might be the most expensive truggy of them all... does this car also demand that you have a dremmel to achive a good steering or another optionpart?

E-clips is not an option. not for racers and not for bashers...

AND does a Pro car see the ligt in the neer future?

Wolud be nice to know why. thats all...

Wow!, is all I can say. I started this post with a simple question and now everyone has their panties in a bunch wondering why they used plastic. I'm guessing that all of you that are complaining about the plastic are the ones at the track that want to look pretty and buy all aluminum stuff anyway. Now you will have an excuse to buy you aluminum goodies. I find it very interesting that everyone is already bar stool racing the XT8 and diasgnosed all problems when its not even out yet. For Pete's sake give it a chance before you kill it, it may just supprise you!

I just drove the truck at Silver State and that is probably one of the toughest tracks as far as eqipment goes. I drove it stock like it comes right out of the box and it was amazing, it was only my fault that I did not put the truck in the Main. But that will change....haha

Ralph and I made the decision to try the aluminum braces on it just to see if it fits/works, because we only saw a thread like this or one started about WILL THE ALUMINUM SUSPENSION BLOCKS FIT... And whats the only way to know for sure?!?!

We didn't put them on because we were worried about breaking them, I ran a Mugen truggy for a couple races last year and it comes with the same plastic braces, and strangely enough, the only brace I ever broke on it was the front ALUMINUM brace (you should have seen the jump (for those of you that were at the last round of the Southern Pro Series, the concrete jump...))!!!

But all in all, I finished the truggy last Tuesday at around 5:30pm, drove to the track, got there and ran ONE tank, just to tune the motor, before qualifying and went on to TQ and win that night, this is all after hitting another truck at full speed on the straight, that was sitting upside down (the audiences, "OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH" sound was audible from the drivers' stand). The truck is not breaking...

And e-clips, so what?! They fall out, just replace them and put a dab of shoe goo on them, done...

Jason is cool.

I also went out to the local beat down rutted up track where it had just rained the night before (Johnny Cool Guys for you locals) and the truck ran GREAT there! Bobby Flack took it around for a tank and probably did a laps worth of cart wheels (on road drivers.......) and it took everything without a scratch!

Ok, I'm done typing for the next couple of minutes.
