XRAY - Model racing cars

Xray should design their own car instead of ripping off other brands. Just changing a part here and a part there doesnt make it a whole new design from the ground up and hudy wants to take credit for that BS. Look at the two cars theyre exactly the same exept for the reciever tray.

Sometimes innovation can resemble duplication. It's up to the driver to see and feel the difference. It's like that in the real world with automobile manufacturers. I'm not discrediting Mugen at all.

i.e. all cars have four wheels and an engine, BMW just made it better.

Thank you for your opinion. I believe your prejudice comes from not having proper or sufficient information. Before making any judgements I suggest you first read a which gives you bit of background about all the developments and designs made for decades. Then I suggest you read the new which will give you complete insight. And lastly once you will have the chance to see or even work with the NT1 you will experience yourselve that all the differences are in the details. As Richmond said, a car is a car in hobby as well in full size market. In the high competition market where the development of each scale has been proven by the years or decades, you will find all 1/12 pan cars looking same, you will find most of the electric touring cars looking same, you will find 1/8 on-road cars looking same and you will find most of the 1/8 off-road looking the same. What matters are all the details, materials, design of the parts, geometry, the chassis and suspension flex alchymy and plenty of other small details which makes the car a car. Therefore I suggest everybody first to see or even test the NT1, then to make any judgements.

BTW: I usually never get involved into discussions like this because they will not bring anything new and usually people are involved because of emotions or wrong information. But if we talk about this or that maybe also interesting to notice that Mr.Hudy has designed and developed the first professional RC tools many years ago and now you can find dozens of exactly same looking tools from dozens of different manufacturers. Did anybody find somebody complaining about it? The same applies to the tire truers, set-up systems and other products where you can find plenty exactly looking same products and even I have seen a case that some of these products used original HUDY instruction manual! But then I realize that you can anytime buy Rolex watches for few dollars.
Therefore it is always the customer who is deciding which product he will purchase for his money, so let's everybody to make their own judgement and to make their free choice. Just my personal opinion.

WHATEVER! I still see it as copying. I guess If you have to copy something, might as well be the WORLD CHAMPION.

I was putting my car together today, and I called a friend of mine so he can bring his other brand car parts for measuring.
He was saying the same things about copying.

The finnish of the x-ray parts was better, and all plastic parts that looked like the other brand in the suspension, was either 1-2 mm shorter or longer.

Mr. Hudy did a perfect job, once again.....

As mentioned above, the basic plattform is allready made, but I guess another brand came out with 4 weels first.

i belive that xray did not copy the mugen or other brands of cars

they just used a design that they thought would be good and so what is another company uses the same stuff

if anything there will be more parts avalible
