XRAY - Model racing cars

bought a brad new RBS7 with 063 pipe today to get ready for race season. I went to install it and realized the carb was locked up. I tried puting fuel in the carb but couldn't get it to free up. Tried wd40 with no luck. Was thinking about takeing the boot off and heating it up a little to see if I can get it loose. Is this safe to do or are there any other sugestions?

Here's my suggestion: take the carb off the engine and do a quick visual inspection. Them check if the idle screw is some how binding the carb and loosen it as much as you can. Do the same with the low-speed needle.
You might end up having to disassemble the whole carb, but hopefully I'll find where the problem was.

I don't think applying heat will solve that problem though. Besides, the main carb body is made of nylon.

On the Novarossi based carbs, if it sticks it's because the idle screw is not sitting in the groove correctly. As anmarta said, remove the idle screw completely and make sure the slide barrel operates smoothly. If it does, you will have to partially remove the dust boot from the body so you can see where the idle screw sits. Carefully reinstall the idle screw, do not force it or you can bend it. Use a small zip tie to anchor the dust boot to the carb body (just a little insurance). Recheck the slide mechanism.

Had the same thing happen, idle screw binding the slide.

I think I remember reading on the RB site where the carb slides on the S7's and WS7's were hanging up due to a slight mis-manufacture. once the motor would heat up the carb, it would cause the slide to bind due to expansion, or something to that effect.

Lots of info on the RB forums Morkendi, might give that a shot as well.
