XRAY - Model racing cars

hi guys, just picked these up for my xb8 and have done a search but got mixed comments for it.

will i have to shim these at the pivot balls or on the ackerman plate?
im running the xb8 luxury nor the r or tq

ok, just got these today and started to fit them. one thing i noticed is there is no nylon nut in the knuckle where the pivot ball screws into, like on the plastic ones. are you guys just using a nylon lock nut on the other side? looks to me the nylon nut sticks out to far and rubs on the arm

i got these 2nd hand and they only come with bb bushings and knuckles

Tighten the locknut so that one of the flat sides of the nut will come up against the arm,,,,and not ont of the hex points. (the point of the nut will dig in to the arm and groove it).

I had a locknut that would dig into the arm and hold the suspension up for a brief second during a bouncing turn.

option 2 is to set your endpoint adj so it wont hit.
