I never measure the current my stock motor draws because its unreliable and as said, the only way you can find which is better and more importantly, suits your driving style, is to take them onto the track.

Also why do you change your springs, i have a stock motor for about 6-8 months and i've never had to change springs. You should also set your brush housing alignment, to esure full brush face contact, and to stop them sticking.

Changing the motor springs is not neccessary unless you are looking for ultimate performance, the heat from the motor weakens the springs thefore they need to be changed to maintain a consistant spring tension.

Motor current draw is manily used to see when your brushes are fully seated to the comm.
