I am trying to practice atleast an hour a day to get ready for race season. My question is that I am still turning in faster lap times on my truggy than the buggy, is this normal? My buggy laps did improve when I switched to the xray, But I still have no idea what I am doing wrong. I make it to A-main everytime on truggy unless I brake, but I struggle so hard with the buggy.

the truggy is so much more forgiving...and can go over bumps alot easier.

Thing is my truggy is a losi muggy fully modified with lrp spec 3. Only thing different is I can get the rear to brake loose thought the tight stuff allowing me to stay on the throttle more, but the xray just seems to want to stay planted so I have to back off more. I try all kinds of adjustments and if I do get it loose, it is to loose. Can't seem to find a happy medium. Cant pump the trottle like i do on the muggy to get kind of a controled slide. I end up in the tubing cause it turns to wide unless I slow to almost a compleat stop. There has to be some kind of setup I am missing.

Have you tried to set your brake bias so that you rear locks up but the front doesn't? That way when you get to a corner you can jam on the brakes, lock up the rear and get it to start the slide around the corner. Another thing you can do is to make sure you rear shocks more vertical than your fronts. Also, lower the roll centre in the rear.

those 3 adjustements should do what you're looking for.

If you need to slow down that much it is more than likely a problem with your driving. Just start with the standard US style track setup and adjust from there. You should be able to carry lots of speed through corners. Try and get on the track with the best drivers at your track and follow them. Its more than likely you need to work on your lines and throttle/brake control.

I am running craddock brakes. I got them set up where the front barely rolls when the rear is locked. I will try makeing the shocks more vertical and see if that helps. I was told by a guy at track to put the heavier sway bar in front and remove the rear sway bar. Do you guys think that will really help? On my muggy, I can tap the brakes going into the corner then pump the trigger. Then I roll on the trigger smooth to exit and stop the slide, it blows right through the corner. The area I am talking about is three 180 degree turns right after the other, so mostly its timeing. But like I said, the xray bites realy hard and wants to stay planted. I can pin the brakes entering the first to get it to slide. On the next two, I dont have the initial speed to force it like the first one.

I am running a RB S7 with the RB 063 pipe, so i know the torgue is there. So its either my driving, or my setup. But if it is driving, why do I have it wired on my truggy. I go to track and run this section over and over again, and can't seem to do it consitantly. I feal like I get worse and worse the more i practice.

I hate to be a pain, but its really starting to iratate me, I lay in my bed at night and picture it in my head, so any tips will help. I'll try anything. The rest of the track, i run pretty consistant lines.

Also, i run a jr 590 throttle servo and a 650 stearing. Would a faster, maybe digital servo help

Don't forget about the relocated roll centre in the rear. That'll help big time. To lower the roll centre, just relocate the upper/inner arm one hole higher on the shock tower than you have now, then try it on the track.
