Serious Bearing issue

I brought and built my new T2 '007 US last week, build went really well, car was super smooth with no binds what so ever. Ran the car in a practice session at my club then adjusted the diffs accordingly and the car was set to go.

Ran the car again in one of the heats and it went well, putting 2 laps on my fk05 with indentical electrics. Now favouring the 007 i decided to run in for the final. The car lasted about 6 laps and came off with a complete loss of power.

On first inspection it seemed that the spur had striped, but when i looked closer i could see the whole layshaft was moving perpendicularly to the direction of the drive train. i then stripped the car to see what had happened.

It seems that the right hand layshaft bearing had completely failed and as a result made the layshaft run out of concentricity, this is what stripped the spur, but i then realised also the bearing (now running non concentric) had griped to the layshaft and rotated in the composite bulkhead hub, resulting in this being destroyed.

Now i have read the literature about the bearings requiring more maintainence due to their high manufacturing tolerences but this one lasted only 10 -12 minutes, am i to expect more of this??? has anyone else had issues???

1st 007 at our local track went down to bad bearing in rear hub not even 2wks in.

shame, really is, dont want it to sour my thoughts of the near car i havent even finished buildin yet.

Trinity bearing oil is my choice. The coefficient of friction is very low
and it is thin enough to not cause friction on the balls but still keep the bearing races properly lubed. Marvel myster oil, in my opinion has to thick of viscosity. I'm am sure it will not damage the bearings and it will keep them properly lubricated but I would tend to think the drag on the bearings would be greater making them not spin as freely as they could. Just an opinion though. Even engine oil and transmission oil would work as a bearing oil but it would not be my ideal choice. I can say that mobil one synthetic oil 5-20w is great for lubing bushings on stock motors though.
