I am currently using the Front Silver & Gold Rear Xray Springs but need to go 1 step softer all around.

Which springs should I use?

take them off.... you cant much softer then 15 and 17lb :) you may need offroad springs! :lol:

Yellow rear and white front is the softest you can go with the springs if you want to keep the same balance. What you can also do is move the shocks to the inner mounting on the arms and then move the tops in so they keep the same angle. That is a much bigger change though and especially at the front can make the car too aggressive.

I was building my 007-EU last week and hand one minor problem and I am just wondering if the manual is correct. For the insertion of the shock pivot balls there is a seperate tech tip sheet included. The tech tip says that the pivot balls are to be aligned such that hex input is facing the shiny side. For the lower mounts thats perfect. For the upper shock mounts it seems that after mounting the shocks to the shock tower they can no longer move freely. Inserting the pivot ball in contrast to the tech tip solved my problem. Anyone else seen the same?

i believe the information in the tips used the lower ball end as an example to illustrate the trick.

In the manual, the orientation of the pivot ball in the "upper shocks mount" and "lower shocks mount" are opposite, so what you did to resolve your problem is right (hex input face the shinny surface on the lower shocks mount, and face the dull surface on the upper shocks mount).

Thanks for the confirmation. In this point the manual and tech tip are in contradiction. The tech tips argues by explaining how to prevent the ball ends popping off the balls. So if that is necessary for the lower end, why should this not be necassary for the upper end.

Maybe XRAY can make this clearer in the next revision of the manual by integrating the tech tip and making explicit remarks on how to apply it for the upper and lower shock mounts.

TO LIPO or NOT TO LIPO... THAT IS THE QUESTION..

OK This topic has been brought up before, but with no real testamonials..

I see a few of you are already running the 007. My question to you guys with hands on experience:

Do the TEAM ORION RACE SPEC 3200 LIPOs fit in the T2'007?????

I am more interested in knowing for the EU version, but others (I am sure) will be interested in knowing for the US version..

If it does fit, is there any dremeling to do? Minor?? Major??

Thanks for any first hand advice..

P.S Lets face it people.. LIPO, SPEKTRUM, and BRUSHLESS is most likely the future of electric TC.. All rules/regulations will accept these new technologies in the very near future..
