Only with seperate cells you can use 7 of them. 6 on the bottom of the chassis and 1 (or 2 or 3) on top.

BTW: Use , browse your image using the button and copy/paste the bulletin board code (the one with IMG between square brackets).

Best change that side by side will fit best. Using the 3 in series in 2 rows is too long to put another cell in front of it (even more if the cells are longer than the normal 2/3 size).

If you use then side by side, you'll probably also use a rubber strap to keep the batterypack in place. In that case, 6 on the chassis and one on top wouldn't be a problem (or 5 and 2 on top).

@Tyrefryer: Did you apply the servo mount mod? There's a lot of wear on your drive shaft (underneat the antenna, above the LRP logo of the battery).

With this information, I'm going to go ahead and list 7 cell as not supported stock in the Unofficial FAQ. Having to dremel that piece while as your picture shows using such banana connectors versus wire (I used those myself when I still ran ni-mh) is a bit much for many users. Also should add I believe there is a danger of creating a short with the metal spur since those tolerances are so tight. One bad shift....

Jaymac, have you considered just running 6 cell for the time being and maybe purchasing a 2 cell lipo setup for your next one (power to weight ratio, you would end up near the same speed).

@ Sleurhutje: after my first ride with the MT, I noticed the problems with the drive shaft

- so I cut off some of the server mount
- also used my dremel to flatten the screws of the central servo arm (to solve )

@ Mini_Me: you are right with the short-circuit: there is only 1,5mm space between the battery bar & the spur gear
