Anyone ever have one of these ESCs go wild on them?

Some times during a race it locks up at full throttle and the only way to reset it is to switch it off and turn it back on.

The technicians says:

The problem will be probably in the motor. Sometimes the motor gest into phase when for a very short time short-circuit the batteries through speed controller. The speed controller evaluates this phase as if the speedo was turned-off and on again and reprogramms again. At that moment you have the full throttle applied and the setting up program of the speedo considers this signal as the neutral position.
It is suggested that you exchange the motor as the brushes in the motor may be already worn. Also check the connectos as it may happen the connectors are not in the best shape and may cause the loss of electricity transfer.

I fpund the problem to be 2 bad battery packs with my 180 ESC. I've stopped using them and never had the problem since.

Is there any possibility to find out if the speedo is V1 or V2 using serial number?

Not quite on topic, but I got a M18MT second hand yesterday. But it didn't come with the manuals. I downloaded the PDF assembly instructions, but can't find the manual for the XMC-300R controller. What does the setup button do?

I've pressed the button while switching the power on, the LED flashed in a different rythm every time I pressed the button and finally it worked. But throttle response is very sensitive (using Spektrum DX3). At a fifth of the full throttle tracel (both forward and reverse) the controller jumps to full speed.

Anybody? I fell in love with it even more after having the little thing.

anyone get the same problem as me - XMC300 sometimes brake and sometimes not?
