I didn't do to well on the first rounds but the last one I finally did perfect runs and also secured the victory of the series.
I've been running Xray T2 since late winter both as a touringcar and as a driftcar. The chassi is mostly stock except that I've put a fully locked Multidiff (spool) as rear diff and the front Multidiff is set as a locked one-way. This setup works so that when on power I have 100% locked diffs both front and rear and when off power the motor slows down the rear wheels so that it drifts very well. I also have the posibility to use the "handbrake" with this setup.
I started the season running 14 turn brushed but midseason switched to the Nosram 2 Star brushless mainly because the lack of need for maintenance. The little extra power also gave me a slight advantage over the 14 turn I had before.
The tires used is ABS tires of Ebay.
A lot of the racers in the Norwegian RC Drift Series uses Novak 4,5 but my car always outperforms them nomather what car they use. My setup and the excellent T2 chassis outperforms them all!
The rumours says that there will be a lot of T2R's in the series next year because of my good results with the T2.
Maybe I should get some sponsorship for this?
I'm posting complete setup later when I get the time.
Sincerely,
Lars A. Andersen
