To rx7ttlm:
you are off course entitled to your opinion on the new car issue every year but here is my vision:
I do not believe that it is an advantage for the average racer to change cars every year because you have to learn the car again and when you have mastered it, here comes the next one.
So it is all going too fast according to me.
Don't get me wrong, I switched from the T1 to the T2 because I also saw the advantages for working on it. It is a very good car and a major improvement on the original T1.
But the question is, did we really need the T1 FK05 in between ?
And what does the T2 2007 offer above the T2 2006 ? Here I see no major improvement.
For me new models should only be brought to the public after it has thoroughly been tested by the team drivers and it offers a major improvement on the previous version.
I don not believe you can re-invent the wheel every year
And i also don't believe that every new car is immediately faster then the previous one for the normal driver. I am then off course not talking about the team drivers but that is only 10% off all drivers. They invest a lot more time in testing the cars and are sure to get the maximum from it.
Oh yeah, and buggs would be a lot less when you did it this way.
Sorry to say but the first T1 was completely bugg free, the T2 instead:
wheel axles come loose because the pin comes out
tweak issues
rear toe issues with differences in rear arms (also not resolved by Xray altough a lot off people have it, me including)
My final words:
if you wan't to buy it, buy it
but everybody is entitled to their opinion on the subject if this is a good evolution we are seeing or not
