XRAY - Model racing cars

I really dislike the new Confirmation code with evry post I want to make. I like a safe board, but really this is over the top.
I have several forums of my own and I visit a lot, but this is new for me.
Can anyone explain what the purpose is (yes I know the idea of keeping bots out!).
But was there a problem or is this a solution for a never occured problem?
Or does Xray want less posts?

It is indeed to keep the bots out. We've been getting more and more spam posts and this is one of the ways to reduce those as much as possible. I don't like it very much myself but unfortunately spam is a fact of live on the internet...

Maybe someone his PC has this virus ?

I do not like it neither but the time needed to delete spam has increased significantly and admins and moderators are super busy with answering the regular questions instead of deleting spam and accounts.

The new system minimizes the self-spams of robots. Even with this new system still some individuals manually sign-up and post spam and these have to be removed manually.

Sorry for any inconvinience but the system is in place to protect the regular users of this forum.

I understand what your saying and I totally agree on blocking to the full extend spam. So if this is the only way, it is sometihing to get used to.

But I still dislike the fact that Internet and PC's are getting slower and slower by or 'safety software', such as virus-scanners, or more complicated user interfaces.

Advertising on the internet is going beyond its goal.

Spam, several bots on all kind of networks (even on P2P) but also spyware and adaware is getting more anoying by the time and still there are people answering them what keeps this kind of advertising alive.
Even the "normal" advertisers are getting more irritating by so called floating ads to make people click it to make it disapear (what they think it does...)

In the netherlands it is illigal to send spam. If I do get Dutch spam I will find the phonenumber of the company and ask them to stop or else I will go to the authorities to list them and that helps.

But ......
